We are recruiting for the position of "Sales Engineer" for a global manufacturer of production systems for the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. The company offers customers a wide range of customizable solutions from the handling of raw materials to the actual production - e.g. also in containment plants - to (aseptic) filling and packaging.

The new colleague (all genders) will mainly be based in the greater area of south Netherlands and will be responsible for business development. The company is looking for a real team player, as the sales process and customer service takes place in close cooperation with the project and development engineers and the back office. At our client, sales is therefore not a feat of strength that you have to accomplish as a lone wolf, but rather a team effort in order to deliver the best possible solution to the customer. The company does not use KPIs as it relies on the expertise and commitment of its employees and offers a permanent position and a company car.

Your focus is:

• You develop suitable sales strategies for customers located in the Netherlands and other european countries and manage your territory competently and with commitment
• You maintain intensive contact with existing customers and are also the first point of contact for all questions relating to adjustments for completed projects, existing technical challenges and the resulting potential new projects and scope changes for ongoing projects
• You acquire new customers according to the sales strategy you have developed and take the lead in managing them from the first meeting to the conclusion of the contract
• You work closely with the project and development engineers and the back office
• Through direct contact with the customer, you know the market and feed this valuable market knowledge back into product development and management in order to support the company in its innovation process. 
• You will be responsible for promoting our client's entire product range to potential new customers and existing customers and will also work closely with the other departments in Europe and Asia

Our client is looking for an expert who

• Has a degree in a suitable field - e.g. chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering or similar
• Has several years of sales experience
• Has a very good command of Dutch and English
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry is essential
